Mic’d Coach | Live-Game Immersion
During a live basketball game, I mic’d the coach with my audio equipment and built the edit around authentic, real-time coaching communication.
I build athletics communications systems that connect storytelling, game-day production, student creators and operational workflows.
Case study
Across two school years at Central Florida Christian Academy, I contributed to and later led athletics-media and game-day workflows spanning boys basketball, football, girls basketball, volleyball and school events.

Operating pillars
Different formats serving different moments: results, postseason anticipation and athlete recognition.
Final score 69–58 with the next round carried in the same asset, for the 2026 Class 1A postseason.
Designed treatment of an external Class 1A semifinals preview. The third-party editorial source is credited on the asset.
Published for @CFCAFOOTBALL, pairing action photography with month statistics and an athlete quote.
Retrospective portfolio concept
Built from my CFCA source photography to illustrate a next-chapter Army West Point treatment.
Created after the fact for portfolio demonstration, not presented as the original published CFCA announcement.
Two vertical pieces: one built on live coaching audio, one on athlete personality.
During a live basketball game, I mic’d the coach with my audio equipment and built the edit around authentic, real-time coaching communication.
I created a player-driven football concept around one prompt, using a candy-bar microphone prop to draw out teammate nominations, reactions and personality.
Athletics Operations
Behind the visible communications work I supported the operational systems it depends on.
My role supported the broader process rather than sole account administration.
Cross-sport application
The same system carried into another sport and another channel: opening-night creative developed for CFCA’s hallway display monitors, extending athletics promotion beyond social publishing and into the school environment.
The hallway display integrates the team handle and QR code with the game information.

Sony body with on-camera monitor and shotgun microphone, worked handheld at courtside and on sticks in larger venues.
Handheld at the baseline during play.
Low camera position under live game conditions.
Pre-event setup on a fluid-head tripod under an issued media credential.
I trained and supervised student media crews, assigned roles and reviewed work inside authentic postgame and live-event environments.
Live experience
A structured postgame interview environment gave student volunteers the opportunity to ask questions and participate directly in athletics coverage.
After-school athletics-media experience with students who volunteered to participate. This work preceded my later Media Production Teacher role at CFCA.
Student volunteers observed and took part in a live interview setting, extending coverage into hands-on media learning.
A student asked the questions on the court, inside a real game-day environment.
Camera, audio, display and staging configured for a structured athletics interview.
Published output
A student conducted a postgame interview with the head coach.
Teach, learn, perform. The student learned the interview workflow first, then carried the live postgame assignment.
The exchange was transcribed, designed and published as a six-card sequence, with the student credited on every card.
Live-event proof
Students were positioned with equipment for live athletics coverage. The work required preparation, role definition and supervision before the first frame was captured.
High-performance context
Selected teams and programs I supported through athletics communications, media, production or related work reached regional championships, State Final Fours, an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.
